Cara's pups are all thriving and have new homes lined up. 2 weeks old and they're all crawling around and feeding like menaces. I'll add more pic's once their eyes are open properly.
Racing went ahead as planned at Westhougthton on Saturday 4th, the track looked great and weather permitting we'll be racing again this Saturday at 2pm. 07539 215674 for anyone interested in coming along.
Westhoughton reopened today and apart from a few teething problems at the start, trials got underway and everything went smoothly. The track had been stood since the previous management left and after a couple of spins round with the tractor looked great again. Some work is being done this week on the banking and more trialing is planned for Wednesday.
The whippet club will be back on, on Saturday 4th February for anyone who wishes to come for trials - all welcome! As soon as we've had the start time confirmed tomorrow i will post. We're pleased to announce that Mo Chara gave birth to a lovely litter of 4 bitches and 1 dog on Tuesday 24th Jan. Mum and babies are doing brilliant and all the pups have new homes lined up.
First post of the new year. Hope it's a happy safe & successful one for all our members.
Some of Whiskey Fudge's pups have now left for their new homes. George is keeping a dog & a bitch and there is still one bitch available to a nice home. Mo Chara is due her pups to Maid Your Point in ten days time and she's looking big. Fingers crossed for a nice easy labour for our little girl. We've been unable to do any winter racing / schooling this year with the closure of Westhoughton Stadium, but word from the new management is that he is hopeful for our r Congratulations to George's Whiskey Fudge who gave birth to a lovely litter of 4 bitches & 1 dog on 20th November to Showman. Pups are doing well & Fudge is a brilliant mother.
We were well represented at the last championships of the year, with 15 runners for the club, a number of which had been running very well leading up to the event but just didn't have luck on their side today. Keith's Anagram and Vicky & Mark's What's Your Rush & Beside The Point all added titles to their championship tallys and we had runner ups in Floless, Just Paddy & Short n Curly.
A brilliant turnout of 103 dogs for this event, the club was supported by 10 dogs with a few 2nd places and class wins for John & Fiona's Mad Jack (looking in good form for the Championships in 2 weeks time), our own Maid Your Point winning Supreme Veteran for the second week on the trot and consolation wins for Jacqui & Tony's Megapixel & Keith's Just Paddy.
Best of Luck to all the A & T dogs that will be running in the f |
