A good show from our club today at Highate for the Valentine / Sailaway Open.  Beside The Point won her weight class and ran well for 3rd in the final, Midnight Maid won her consolation heat as did Mad Jack going one better to win the 25lb consolation final, Keith's Just Paddy just got caught on the line in his heat and then went on to win his class in the consolation, Maid Your Point added another win to his tally taking the veteran final and finally we were well supported by the clubs pedigree racers with Fatal Attraction winning the Pedigree Final and class wins for Noble Lochs & Cracke

Back onto the greyhound tracks, most of the club dogs have been attending trial sessions at Westhoughton Greyhound Stadium, we had a brilliant club turnout of 47 dogs for our second meeting.

There were 16 dogs representing our small club at the BWRA Straight Championships held at Gresley Old Hall, Nr Burton on Trent.
We had finalists in Craig's Hagler and Alan's Short n Curly.  Linda Broom's just back from injury Push The Button gained runner up Racing Champion and three Racing Champion titles went to Vicky & Mark's Maid Your Point (his 14th championship win), Hunkie and going one better little Beside the Point who took Supreme of the day. 

With a few bend trials under their belt some of the clubs dogs attended their first bend open of the new season The Calgary Golden Jacket at Highgate Greyhound Stadium, Keith Woodward's homebred Just Paddy won his class in the No Limit, John & Fiona Marsden's good little bend dog Mad Jack won his class and finished 2nd in the Dog Final and Vicky & Mark's Beside the Point won her class and then went on to take the Bitch Final. 
The following week we were back to Highgate for the South Yorkshire Bend Open where the club did well once again, incidently all our winners this week were homebred.  Firstly Tony & Jacqui's Red Moon Rising winning her class in the veteran consolation, Keith's Anagram won her weight class and finished 2nd in the Bitch Final, Mark & Vicky's Midnight Maid won her class to finish 3rd in the bitch final and finally Linda's Twisted Sister ran superb to win her class and then go on to take the Bitch Final in fine style.  All three bitch finalists being from our club.
